How does the CarSearch system work?
The CarSearch system uses a dedicated owned island wide Radio Frequency (RF) network, which allows our armed security to track the vehicles exact location. RF delivers unprecedented precision in last mile tracking of stolen vehicles, enabling the precise location of the item to be pin pointed, which expedites recovery. With the LoJack technology, ISSL/ CarSearch the stolen vehicle communicates its whereabouts 24/7 to our Total Command Centre and field units, through a silent signal emitted from the transponder hidden in the vehicle, motorcycle or construction equipment. Unlike GPS-only based systems, RF technology operates even in circumstances where the asset is hidden under dense foliage, is in a steel container or in a garage. For the full protection and safety of the asset, the CarSearch system is covert with no external antennae. ISSL/ CarSearch also has a hybrid system that combines the LoJack technology with GPS for a far more reliable and effective technology for the Stolen Vehicle Recovery application.
Why do I need a CarSearch system?
In 2018, 1,050 vehicles were stolen throughout Trinidad and Tobago, while 891 were stolen in 2019. The criminally targeted brands of vehicles for the 2019 period were the Hyundai Tucson, the Kia Sportage and most of the Nissan branded vehicles. ISSL/ Carsearch has maintained an average of over 90% Stolen Vehicle Recovery rate over the span of almost two decades and an impressive 2020 Recovery rate of 93%. What is included in the Annual cost fee?
The cost of the Annual Service is for 24/7 monitoring of your vehicle together with the cost associated with tracking and locating each activation.
What will it cost me when CarSearch tracks and locates my vehicle?
As a client of CarSearch you are not charged for any recovery services when your car is reported stolen, found and returned to you. However, should you request a location track there is a fee.
How do I get into contact with someone concerning my account?
There is a single point of contact. To make the process as simple as possible for our customers, ISSL/ CarSearch offers a single point of contact for the customer's whole security solution through our Customer Service Centres. Our CSRs working in conjunction with our expert Customer Account officers allow for centralised communications and coordination in quickly addressing diverse problems and solving them in accordance with the customer’s requests.
What is the TOTAL COMMAND CENTRE (tcc)?
The ISSL/ CarSearch Total Command Centre plays a key role in providing high-performance security. From here, our in-house security services and solutions are managed and controlled. At the Total Command Centre, personnel and technology are united through time-honored processes and protocols, coordinating customer security and service. Information on all customer incidents that occur and security services provided are directed through our Total Command Centre and managed by our proficient professionals. This information is used to take the appropriate and precise action at all times, allowing us to give our customers high-quality security around the clock.
WHAT happens when I call the emergency numbers?

Does ISSL/ CarSearch just find cars?
ISSL/ CarSearch is responsive and experienced in the design, construction and maintenance of a full range of security systems. The company has also transitioned to property protection services where we can install the camera and alarm system linked to the system within your building, and then monitor for any alarms that will come through to our Total Command Centre. The company can provide 24-hour security monitoring of your systems to ensure that you and your property are safe at all times. If there are any situations that need to be addressed, we will do this quickly and appropriately. With our security monitoring service, we can provide you with peace of mind that someone is on stand-by at all times to monitor and react accordingly.
What happens if there is a technical issue?
Since all ISSL/ CarSearch systems are leased to the client, our team is responsible for maintaining all or any of your systems. You simply come into one of our Customer Service Centres or have one of our technicians visit your site, perform a series of tests to ensure that the systems are working effectively.
